1ST LITRATO PHOTO CONTEST RULES

 

TERMS:

Litrato Photo Contest begins May 2, 2014 and ends June 30 2014 at 5:00 PM. 

 

QUALIFIERS:

Amateur photographers who are 16 to 25 years old and are residing in the Philippines, except those who are affiliated to The CSU Communicator, its staff, and the advisers may join the contest. All professional photographers are not qualified to join the contest. The CSU Communicator will assess and judge entries in its own discretion.

 

ENTRIES:

There shall be three (3) categories or interest:

 

       Filipino Life

 

Depicts lifestyle of Filipinos. This may be happenings, objects or anything that mark the reality among Filipinos. It may tell poverty, unity, happiness, hospitability and other virtues or characteristics that define Filipinos.

 

       The Countryside

 

Depicts the nature within the Philippines. This may be animals, plants, geological structures, landscapes and other objects or matters concerning natural science.

 

       Emotions

 

Depicts emotions of people.

 

PHOTOS:

1. All entries must be original and is shot within the Philippines.

2. Captions must be included, giving information on when, where and other specifications on how the photo was taken.

3. Photos must be in .jpeg, .jpg, or .png format

4. Files must not be lower than 2 Mb but not larger than 5 Mb.

5. Photos altered or edited are disqualified.

6. Photos taken through mobile camera are accepted provided each meets the specifications.

 

SUBMISSIONS:

1. Submit entries through email at www.thecsucommunicator@gmail.com">www.thecsucommunicator@gmail.com

2. One email is limited only to three per category.

3. Every photographer may submit up to three entries in each category.

4. Complete the given form for each entry.

5. The CSU Communicator reserves the right to disqualify any incomplete forms of entries, and photos that have not met the terms.

6. Top 50 finalists will be notified and required to submit the original soft copy of the photo at The CSU Communicator office, 2nd Floor, Student Center, Cagayan State University-Andrews Campus, Caritan Sur, Tuguegarao City. The CSU Communicator reserves the right again to disqualify entries if the photographer failed to submit the original softcopy of the entry.

7. Top 50 finalists will be posted on The CSU Communicator facebook account on July 6, 2014.

8. Upon submission of the entry, entrants give The CSU Communicator the right to distribute, display or widely use the entries in publications or for educational, exhibition ad all other purposes. Photo used will be credited to the photographers.

 

DEADLINE OF SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES:

All entries must be emailed through thecsucommunicator@gmail.com on June 30, 2014 at 5 PM.

 

JUDGING

1.The Editors of The CSU Communicator will do the judging of the entries.

2.Winners will be notified 5 days before the awarding. Anyone who fails to respond four (4) days after the notification may be disqualified.

3.Top 50 finalists photos posted in The CSU Communicator Facebook account will be voted for Online Choice starting July 6, 2014. Tally will end on July 27, 2014, 7:00 AM.

4.Decisions of the editors are irrevocable.
